Home Assistant it the second most active Python application of all. Do Home Assistant and Garmin Connect have a similar underlying structure? We suppose the backbone of both is InfluxDB and Grafana.
It is a pity, that Garmin is so restrictive in accessing their data from Garmin Connect. Currently, the open structure of Apple Health which allows to stream all the data to Home Assistant makes Apple watches much more attractive to us than Garmin watches.
Why are Garmin users not allowed to have on Open Garmin Connect, where users can do their own data analysis, as it is the case with Apple watches? An open data structure makes sports sensor devices much more attractive.
