According to William Croft from OpenBCI, Hi, AJ Keller has left OpenBCI and formed his own company which is called Neurosity:
In general AJ Keller warned on the product page, that the OpenBCI Wifi Shield can be tricky and difficult in certain modes.

They developed the Neurosity Crown
Neurosity Crown has the following featuers:
- Uses Wifi
- Garanties no packet loss
- Is great for bandwith
- Bluetooth has the downside that it can drop packages
- Neurosity Crown has a whole computer on the device to solve issues with signal quality and package loss
- The device has a wifi antenna
- Has a Bluetooth antenna
- WIFI is used for data transmition
- Bluetooth is used for device discovery
- Neurosity has an SDK
