If it is difficult to make a living from being a meditation teacher – is it not even more difficult to fund research about meditation?

The Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS) recently honored two teachers who left the Tibet Rikon Insitute Switzerland Monastry after they lived for 17 years in the monastry. Both of them are now self-employed teachers. And these are

Loten Dahortsang

and

Lama Pema Wangyal

But Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org

also reported about a question which came up in him, and that is: Do not both of them have a struggle to survive, even in a wealthy country such as Switzerland? And if so, if it is really difficult to make a living from being a teacher who teaches meditation in Switzerland, is it not even more difficult to fund research about meditation?
