Criticism of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org on Swiss medical doctors specialized in psychiatry & psychotherapy & the meditation research projects discussed on www.petergamma.org & the Buddhist definition of mental health

Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org

is in therapy at a Swiss medical doctor specialized in psychiatry and psychotherapy

On a regular basis, Peter talks to him about his suffering. But his therapist has basically stopped talking to him, and only makes notes about his suffering. This therapist is the younger follower of his previous therapist which went into rent. Does this mean that there is no clinical validated cure for Peter by his younger psychotherapist he could offer him?

On the other hand, in a book of Buddhist monk Ahjan Amaro from U.K. we can basically find the statement, that according to the Buddhist teachings, a human being is only then completely mentally healthy when he is enlightened. You can find the link to it on www.petergamma.org. We know of statements which say it takes about 12 – 13 years of full-time training to get enlightened. Buddhist monk Thich Naht Hahn said in one of his talks, that young monks get enlightened very fast. And in older monks it takes longer. Do Swiss psychiatrists currently not to have a cure for Peter s suffering? But the Buddhist monks seem to have a treatment, which is currently not scientifically validated?

A psychiatrist said once to Peter, development in psychotherapy is very slow. So slow that it almost cannot be recognized. And similarly, the Dalai Lama the 14. th once said, spiritual grow is very slow. It is similar to the growth of a plant. But the growth of plants is measurable. And should therefore spiritual grows and healing not be measurable as well?

But the criticism of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org or the open questions of him are:

Are many of the projects discussed here privately funded? And are they funded by short-sighted money makers? And are they mainly interested or forced to sell everything? From brain scanners:

up to TGAM modules from China?

And is this because there are private funds and interest behind it? But the topic discussed here is mental health. And is this topic not in the interest of everyone? And should things which are in the interest of everyone not be funded by everyone, which means publicly funded? Or by funds which are funded by generous funders and not by short-sighted money makers?

And what do we criticize or put into question on the definition of complete mental health of the Buddhists? Is it not incomplete when compare it to the definition of the WHO, which is:

Mental health is according to the World Health Organization (WHO):

A state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well.
