Because they EEG devices are voted out by Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org?
iWorx and Schiller medical sell devices for research and medical applications, and not for hobbists. But if someone like Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org wants to buy a device to meditate with, is he happy with a device which was designed for hobbyists? Certainly not, since it is not at the level of his education.
According to Peter s own little experience, meditators can easily do without EEG devices. Heart rate and respiration rate of a Fenix 6 is helpful, and EEG signals not necessary.
But if someone want to build a device for professionals, heart rate from an ECG device, respiration rate from a spirometer and speed data from a treadmill seem to be helpful, as in the example of the Schiller CS200:
This is a video of the Schiller CS 200 recorded at the Schiller medical headquarter in Baar Switzerland more than 10 years ago, which is still worth mentioning. Schiller exists since more than 50 years and has brought more than 100 devices onto the market:
And has offices also in India.
And what does this all mean for Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org?
EEG devices up to the g.tec medical multi-purpose headset are basically out.
More interesting is for us personally to start new projects based on a newer software platform such as InfluxDB:

And not based on outdated multi-channel EEG hardware. And let us get our information in university library like this one:
https://infozentrum.ethz.ch/en
And not in the EEVBLOG:
on YouTube, and somewhere else in the web.
