The Swiss Police wants to track my phone altough I do nothing which is illegal – so which phone should I buy if I want to protect my privacy?

  • The Swiss Police is watching Peter Gamma.
  • Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org is worried about his privacy.
  • The Police controlled several times if his phone is switched on or off.
  • Recently Peter Gamma had to go to the Police office again. The Swiss Police complained about Peter Gamma. Peter has written several reports to the Zurich Higher Court about criminal offenses neighbours reported to him. But then as a consequence, he had to go to the local Police office for a Police interrogation.
  • There the Police man he knew already from the past asked him questions for one hour. At the end, the Police man complained about him.
  • He said: «how can I help you if you switch off your phone? I tried to call you three times and your phone was off. If you want that I help you, you have to have switched on your phone 24 * 7.»
  • But Peter Gamma was not asking the Police for help and to track and observe him. He only made several written reports to the higher Zurich court. And he reported criminal offences which where not about life and death. And the criminal offences he reported about where not against his person himself, but against his neigbours. He did not ask the Police for help regarding his person himself. He only wanted to report criminal offences neighbours reported him about and he wanted that the perpetrators are punished.
  • So Peter Gamma wants a privacy phone now to protect him from being tracked by the Swiss Police.

He thought about the Pinephone as a privacy phone

  • But the Pinephone is expensive in Switzerland due to high shipping costs and import taxes.
  • Peter was then interested in this privacy phone from Google which runs Ubuntu Touch presented by TechHut:
  • But a privacy phone from Google? Has it really to be a privacy phone from Google?
  • Is it not riky to have a privacy phone from Google, even when he flash Ubuntu Touch on it?:

https://forums.ubports.com/topic/10004/are-there-any-privacy-issues-if-we-choose-a-phone-from-google-like-the-google-pixel-3a-3a-xl?_=1718938717106

  • A risk remains, even if the phone is switched off.
  • And did the Internet Privacy Guy Rob Braxman not advice to dump Apple and Google phones?:
  • And is it a good philosophical choice to have a Google phone which is reflashed with Ubuntu Touch to get a privacy phone?
  • Was the Ubuntu Touch distro made by the guys from Google?
  • And have they built in a back door to track us again?
  • Who knows about this:
  • Rob Braxman suggested to use Android Open Source Project (AOSP) to potect our privacy.
  • Some phones can be reflashed to an Android Open Source Project (AOSP) but not Apple phones.

Peter still needs an Android phone for mobile office

  • He did not yet find a Linux phone which offers Softmaker Office to run on it.
  • He asked Softmaker to support Linux phones.
  • But they answered, «we have already Linux desktop software», we won’t support Linux phones.
  • So he would have to adapt the Softmaker Office Linux desktop software by himself to a Linux phone.
  • And for adapting, we would rather choose LibreOffice and not Softmaker Office which is not free, I mean the desktop Linux version.
  • And he himself installed LibreOffice together with wibble from the Pine64 forum on the Pinephone.
  • But unfortunately LibreOffice is not usable on the Pinephone screen.
  • So Peter needs still an Android phone with Softmaker Office running on it.
  • It is the best Office software he knows which runs on smartphones.

Fairphone

  • So Peter was looking for a phone with AOSP and found it from Fairphone.
  • Peter owns already several Fairphones.
  • He wanted to flash Ubuntu Touch on it but did not manage this yet, altough Fairphones are known to be good to be reflashed.
  • Fairphones are available used on Ricardo Switzerland at a good price, but not the Pinephone.
  • There is currently only one used Pinephone available on eBay Germany for 400 USD! I the Pinephone really worth that much in Europe?
  • There is now a Pine64 store in Europe, but also there the Pinephone costs more than in the U.S.
  • Peter found information about Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with the Fairphone 2:
  • It says that Fairphone OS is largely based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP)

So I ask again the question: is it a good choice to buy a phone from Google and reflash it with Ubuntu Touch as your privacy phone? A product from Google Inc., products which are controversial becaues many complains about those products because of privacy issues. My answer is no, I will eventually choose a Fairphone and flash Ubuntu Touch on it to use it as a privacy phone.

And I need another phone which runs Android for Softmaker Office Android. And I don’t want to have too many different phone models, but if possible only one. So I eventually will buy a Fairphone with Android and flash Ubuntu Touch on a second Fairphone. Then I have a privacy phone to be save from the Swiss Police who snoops on me. To be save from being tracked by the Swiss Police as much as make sense for me personally.

But unfortunately, I did not yet find a specialized high-secure highly encrypted satellite phone which is completely save from being tracked by the Swiss Police which would fit for my needs. If you know one, please let me know in the comments below.

Information for product sellers who do stock market speculation and scalping with products mentioned by Peter Gamma on www.petergamma.org

According to the little experience of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org, many of the products listed here are still full of issues which need to be resolved. If you do stock market speculation and scalping with those, you will loose Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org as a buyer of these products and as a reviewer. Is this not risky? Will you not loose a majority of your costumers as well?

And is it not so, that society in general does not accept stock market speculation and scalping with products as those which are listed here? And will you not be politically incapable of finding a majority of the voters if you do stock market speculation and scalping with these products?

And as a consequence will you not be condemned and punished by a political referendum soon? Especially if you do this to a Swiss, since are not majority of Swiss against stock market speculations and scalping with people on a budget? And people in Switzerland are known for a lot of political referendums, since we have direct democracy in this country.

And Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org will fight up to the European Court of Human Rights against people who do stock market speculation and scalping with the products which are mentioned on www.petergamma.org. And if they do not have yet the legal basis there to do so, he will fight for it.

What is a scalper?

A scalper is someone who buys something and resells it at a price far above the initial cost. For instance some says: “He got theater tickets through a scalper”: Someone who buys tickets to an event in order to resell them at a profit. And is it not also scalping if you take reviews from this site to make out of it a new product offer, and sell it for a higher price? We doubt that you will be successful with it. Since Peter Gamma will review your product and will user not come back to www.petergamma.org after that?
