www.openbci.com

  • Fieldtrip developer Robert Oostenveld says that OpenBCI Cyton is buggy:
  • But according to his view he says it is possible to debug it.
  • Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has reviewed products from www.openbci.com over many years and has described the issues, but also the solutions.
  • After all OpenBCI modules could also be of interest for physiologists.
  • So interesting that eventually manufacturers like Schiller medical already have integrated such modules in their C200 treadmills.
  • But products form www.openbci.com are expensive.

OpenBCI made in China

  • Peter Gamma has reviewed those also over several years.
  • Now he thinks that will all the available information it should be possible to resolve the issues of OpenBCI made in China, inclusive WIFI shield.
  • There are a lot of seller out there.
  • Lock at all the offers and test it.
  • You can send those also back if they do not work.
  • The issue is most probably that you have to test these modules by yourself which can take a lot of time.
  • But if you do this, you can save some money.

PiEEG

  • PiEEG is a new and interesting platfrom which much potential.
  • But no one seems to buy it.
  • This is a hint that it is eventually buggy.
  • To resolve these bugs will take eventually several years, and also to have a community of users.

Electonics components and InfluxDB

  • If we look at the latest developments of engineers at the university level, are there any who still use the ADS1299 chip from Texas Instruments?
  • we mean exept from A.J. Keller from Neurosity who suffers from ADHS?
  • And exept from OpenBCI CEO Connor Russomano with a Bachelor of Science (BS), Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, 3D Modeling & Animation?
  • Do developers at the university level not rather use new architectures based on InfuxDB?
  • For ECG modules such InfluxDB projects can already be found on YouTube, but not yet for EEG.
  • But it is eventually worth to have a closer look at an open access university library as this one:
