Good news from the extraordinary Swiss Biologist Dr. Daniel Hegglin, President of the Foundation Pro Partgeier in Zurich:

Daniel Hegglin who was a critic of genetic engineering back in the 80ies in high school, and we suppose still is even today as a wildlife conservationist who is active in Switzerland. Whe have a genetic engineering moratorium in Switzerland to protect people, animals and the environment from risks. It expires at the end of 2025. The genetic engineering companies are putting massive pressure on Parliament and the Federal Council: They are lobbying to ensure that genetically modified organisms can be grown and sold in the future.

Several countries around the world have banned the use of GMOs. In the European Union the following countries have banned GMOS: France, Germany, Austria, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Poland, Denmark, Malta, Slovenia, Italy, and Croatia.

Currently only the bearded vulture population grows in Switzerland supported by wildlife biologist Dr. Daniel Hegglin:

The bearded vultures, which are threatened with extinction, are back at home in the Alps thanks to an international reintroduction project. There are currently 400 to 450 bearded vultures roaming the entire Alpine region (France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria). In order to spread as widely as possible, the bearded vultures are being released into the wild in the Engadine (GR), where the project began in 1991, in the Calfeisental (SG) and, since 2015, in the canton of Obwalden on Melchsee-Frutt.
