Brainscanners are not in any case necessary to investigate meditation scientifically & still it is possible to get scientific results which are completely satisfying

This is a a major insight of Peter Gamma after 4104 posts on www.petergamma.org. Richard R. Davidson’s brainscanner is a very complicated device:

But we personally found very helpful without having it tested it yet is for instance an iWorx spirometer:

  • Spirometers are also used in devices at the highest level as for instance Swiss Schiller CS-200 Stress Treadmills wich costs more than 20 000 USD.
  • But we can buy Spirometers also from iWorx where they are more affordable and can connect those to an iWorx recorder, OpenBCI Cyton or PiEEG module:
  • And to calculate the number of breath per minute with the iWorx software or a a peak detection alogrithm:

https://ch.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/401468-detect-beginning-and-end-of-inhalation-in-respiration-signal

  • iWorx offers recorders and software for spirometers.
  • But the advantage for instance to use OpenBCI is that it is more affordable and has already software interfaces for for instance Matlab & Python.
  • And to reason to choose a medical and research grade spirometer is: which medical doctor or scientist want a device in his home lab which is not at the level of his professional education? Eventually Cody Rall MD with Techforpsych, but who else?
  • The goal is to bring the breath per minute at rest into the physiological range between 12 – 20 breath per minute
  • And the goal is also practice to lower the breath rate down to 12 breath per minutes, which has shown to be an effective practice with some meditators which suffer from attention deficits.
  • The goal of the Shamata breath meditation is mental claritiy and to free the mind from suffering.

What Richard R. Davidson envisions for the future:

  • Is a future which is aleady there with the setup shown above.
  • We assume that you are a meditator for which this devices works as good as manual breath counting.
  • Manual breath counting is effective with some practicioners, , and also completely sufficient if you are not a scientist.
  • But research and medical grade devices which measures breath rate could be a helpful tool for people who are looking for device for technology assisted breath medititation at the level of a scientific sudy, even if it is only a private project for the time being, but it let’s open all possibilities for the future.

Information for product sellers who do stock market speculation and scalping with products mentioned by Peter Gamma on www.petergamma.org.

According to the little experience of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org, many of the products listed here are still full of issues which need to be resolved. If you do stock market speculation and sculping with those, you will loose Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org as a buyer of these products and as a reviewer. Is this not risky? Will you not loose a majority of your costumers as well?

And is it not so, that society in general does not accept stock market speculation and scalping with products as those which are listed here? And will you not be politically incapable of finding a majority of the voters if you do stock market speculation and sculping with these products?

And as a consequence will you not be condemned and punished by a political referendum soon? Especially if you do this to a Swiss, since are not majority of Swiss against stock market speculations and sculping with people on a budget? And people in Switzerland are known for a lot of political referendums, since we have direct democracy in this country.

And Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org will fight up to the European Court of Human Rights against people who do stock market speculation and sculping with the products which are mentioned on www.petergamma.org. And if they do not have yet the legal basis there to do so, he will fight for it.
