Matthieu Ricard is a Buddhist monk with a PhD. in Cellular Genetics who has taught us that «happiness can be trained» around 20 years ago:

But is the topic that «Happiness can be trained» not also a topic which is of interest for a majority of Swiss, and should therefore be funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) to do research on it? So is the Shechen Monastery in Kathmandu where Matthieu Ricard lives or the
Kailash International Retreat Center in Törbel, a renowned center for meditation in the beautiful Swiss mountains of the canton of Valais funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)?

We do not know how the Kailash International Retreat Center is funded

but we know that the Shechen Monastery in Nepal needs your support for the growing number of monks who are coming to study and practice:

  • and Nuns Fund

But we do not know of a funding by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Shechen Monastery in Kathmandu of of the Kailash International Retreat Center in Törbel. or of a funding of a similar project by the (SNSF).
