Those who know Tenzin Michael Aegerter from the past know him as the carpenter of the Kailash Clinic, at a time when the project was still in the hands of the Swiss West Tibet Association. That was 30 years ago. Today Tenzin Michael is an ordained monk in the Gelugpa Order, the school of the Dalai Lama.

This evening he will talk about his decision to become a monk, his entry into the order and life in a Tibetan monastery. He is also happy to answer questions from the audience.

Tenzin Michael has been ordained as a Buddhist monk since 2004. He studied for five years at Nalanda Monastery in southern France and spent several years at Drepung Tibetan Monastery in southern India.
