Ajahn Amaro has no money since since 1978 and lives in the U.K.:

but all the same he flies to Stanford in the U.S. to give talks:

Who pays for his flights? Ajahn Amaro has discussed the topic of Buddhism in the West and how it can be financed to be a Buddhist monk in the west in his talks which for instance can be found on YouTube.
