- Is Rob ter Horst not the accuracy testers who tested the most smartwatches scientifically worldwide?
- Is it not absolutely incomprehensible that he did not choose the most accurate reference devices for his tests which are available?
- And these are for instance for activities if intense activities with strong body movements are NOT investigated, 3 channel gold standard ECG devices.
- These devices where also used in the following paper published by cardiologists from the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6732081
- And is it not absolutely incomprehensible as well that he did not choose the protocols which allow the most accurate testing?
- These are for instance runs on the treadmill up to 15 km/h.
- Such a protocol was chosen in the following paper which was published by cardiologists from the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6732081
- But Rob uses a Polar H10 chest straps as his reference devices instead.
- This is not a gold standard for HR measurement device if intense activities with strong body movements are NOT investigated.
- And Rob ter Horsts testing protocols are protocols like cycling inside, cycling outside, etc.,
- Rot ter Horsts testing protocols do not include for instane a treadmill protocol, which is absolutely incomprehensive, since this would allow the most accurate testing.
- The following picture shows other strange testing protocols which have been chosen in a PLOS ONE paper (not published by Rob ter Horst) about the accuracy of the Polar OH1 published in 2019:
https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0217288
Where is the credibility of Rob ter Horst as a scientific accuracy tester after we know about all of these facts?
Is he a tester who wants to find the most accurate device?
Certainly not.
If he wanted to find out about this, would he not choose other testing protocols and methods as the ones he has chosen?
