This video shows a more basic sensor:
below the video:
- Build your own Arduino breathing monitor to measure chest and belly breathing, and use it for a science project!
- Complete instructions including a parts list, circuit diagram, and example code are available on the Science Buddies website:
- There is a respiration belt which is much more sensitive than the one shown in the above video
- You can find it by google for:
«Respiratory Heart Rate Piezoelectric Sensor Nursing Home Hospital Smart Mattress Breathing Belt Sleep Belt»
- This belt is also sold as a sleep monitor
- Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org tested it.
- We where able to just lay on the belt. And the Happy Sleep app detected the breathing movement very strongly, which is a hint that this belt is very sensitive.
- It is most probably also used in more expensive respiration belts of BIOSIGNALS.
- We suppose that this belt can also be attached to OpenBCI instead of an Arduino
- ask in the www.openbci.com forum for it.
