Vanja Palmers, Diego Hengartner, did or do these Swiss meditation teachers rebell against their rich families?

Both Vanja Palmers & Diego Hengartner’s carriers made a similar twist as the one of and Matthieu Ricard.

Here the story of of Vanja Palmers:

  • He is a hippie, animal activist, multimillionaire and pursues one goal: Vanja Palmers (60) is aiming for a ban on elephants and other wild animals in the Knie circus.
  • That’s why he wants to follow the national circus on its tour through Switzerland with his elephant mobile.
  • “The training of elephants is extremely brutal,” says Palmers.
  • Even if the Knie Circus treats its animals comparatively well, they are in the wrong place.
  • The animals have to suffer, and we have to defend ourselves against that.

But Vanja Palmers is much more than just a committed animal activist. He is an heir to the Swiss textile company Calida. In contrast to his father and brothers, he turned down a professional career at a young age and went his own way. He had a key experience with LSD that completely turned his world view upside down. This is one of the reasons why Palmers is now fighting for the legalization of the psychedelic drug.
