EEG devices with 32 channel or more & InfluxDB have already been proposed – but where can we find those?

EEG devices with 32 EEG channel ore more & InfluxDB have been proposed in a conference paper published in the «Journal of Translational Engineering in Health and Medicine»

The paper

«Integrated Development Environment for EEG-Driven Cognitive-Neuropsychological Research»

It was published by researchers of the Bar-Ilan University is a state university in Ramat Gan, Tel Aviv District, Israel.

  • In the graph we can see that the authors propose to use EEG devices such as the Emotiv Epoc Flex 32 for this project, as well as other devices from Emotiv:
  • This is a positive result, since these researchers have published a plot how this could be solved.
  • In the picture, we can see that EEG devices are connected over the corex.Api.exe to the device with InfluxDB.
  • The Epoc Flex 32 has 32 EEG channels.
  • Can what is proposed in this paper also been done with indidvial TGAM modules and A/D converters, as shown here:
  • Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org thinks this sould be possible theoretically, but all physiological sensors needed to be sampled at the same time.
  • This would require additionally a microcontroller as for instance the one used in the BITalino boards, which sample 8 channels at the same time.
  • But also a Raspberry Pi could do this job. But this solution has already found with PiEEG. So why do build a new device when PiEEG is already available?
