Scott William Harden, DMD, PhD. neuroscientist with a passion for collaborative public software & hardware development from the University of Florida does not use OpenBCI as a A Novel OpenBCI Framework for EEG-Based Neurophysiological Experiments – but should Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org without a passion for collaborative public software & hardware development use OpenBCI made in China for his developments?

Scott William Harden:

After all Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has learned, he eventually could buy OpenBCI made in China modules and build Biosemi Active Two amplifiers out of these. The software for it is quiet far developed, but still buggy. And Peter Gamma could sell those in Switzerland for 9 999 USD instead of 10 000 USD. 10 000 USD is the price Biosemi amplfiers cost, and not much whould happen. And eventually the only one who is interested in those is Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org and the Texas Instruments headquaters in Dallas.

And if Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.orghe would do this all the same, eventually not much would happen, if he would buy OpenBCI made in China products to make Biosemi Active 2 amplifiers out of this. But since no one as done it to this date:

We suppose it is economically not possible. And do not every really serious device developer want to get rid of chips such as the ADS1299 from Texas Instruments, which causes us so much troubles in recent years, and build a new device from scratch without ADS1299? But all the same, if we are still interested in OpenBCI made in China, the risk is there of stock market speculation and attempts to maximize profits from OpenBCI made in China. Therefore adviser Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org advices to all OpenBCI made in China buyers to keep silent if you use products from OpenBCI made in China. And to not make any links to OpenBCI made in China products, and do not pick them up in shops, and tread them as if they where not there and do not exist.
