PiEEG was announced about a year ago by PiEEG developer ldar Rakhmatulin:
But then PiEEG was only available from the
- November 2023 for PIEEG 4 channels
and
- April 2024 for the 8 channel version
Then PIEEG 4 channel was sold out, and new PiEEG’s where anounced by the beginning of 2024. But shortly after that PiEEG was not available anymore:

- What happened to PiEEG. ? Was it only a demo. PiEEG developer ldar Rakhmatulin showed also instructions how to build PiEEG`s by ourselves.
Major negative experiences with EEG devices in the low-cost segments in the recent years where:
- generally high prices
- marketing trusts
- stock market speculations to maximise profit from those.
Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org knows only little about PiEEG. One negative experience we made that the delivery times for PiEEG are very long. And we expect also that if we would build PiEEG by ourselves we expect long delivery times. And we don’t know either if the prices for this are stable or not. Stock market speculations is for us personally a reason to retreat from a EEG product. Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org opimizes for low-cost high-quality. And if a EEG device seller is optimizing for maximising profits out of u,s this fit’s not to our projects. And we do not know how it is with PiEEG.
Furthermore PiEEG offer Python code. Peter Gamma usually does not code. And for him personally it would take time to attach for instance OpenBCI GUI or NME Python the PiEEG. But an advantage of PieEEG is that Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org thinks that it sould be possible to build a device with more than 8 channels from PiEEG, as explained here:
