Is the effort to bring OpenBCI Cyton to work as big as building a new device from scratch?
We only know of two new devices which where released in recent years which are based on the ADS1299. These where the OpenBCI Galea and Neurosity Crown. But unfortunately these where not built by Swiss developers and these products are not sold in Swiss shops either. So how can we Swiss trust if these EEG devices are free from issues?
The other new devices we found are those presented by Cody Rall MD with Techforpsych. These where more in numbers of new devices than the two mentioned above which are based on the ADS1299.
Is the effort to bring OpenBCI Cyton to work as big as building a new device from scratch? We suppose so. According to our own little experience, most EEG device builders used another architecture than the ADS1299, and then these where reviewed by Cody Rall MD with Techforpsych.
Furthermore, which medical doctors and physiologists buy products reviewed from Cody Rall MD with TechforpsychADS1299.? We do not know of none.
To find those which are bought from medical doctors and physiologists, we have to go to the scientific literature. And the EEG devices which can be found in there start from 10 000 USD.
