How much money can EEG device sellers make out of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org – what is the view of EEG enthousiast Peter Gamma about this topic?

As we discussed with Krisztián Hofstädter, PhD in the www.OpenBCI.com forum about his EEG heatset:

Krisztián Hofstädter EEG setup, estimated costs 3 000 USD incl. gelfree EEG cap

We where not very happy about his EEG Heatset. But soon new offers appeared on YouTube, such as the.

g.Nautilus Multi-Purpose EEG Headset for 50 000 USD:

Is this not too expensive for a device with only 32 EEG channels? But then a more affordable alternative from g.tec medical came onto the market.

The Unicorn Hybrid Black – The wearable EEG Headset by g.tec for 1 000 USD:

This is the same as the OpenBCI Cyton costs. But who buys a Unicorn Hybrid Black by gtec? Robert Oostenveld bought one to review it on his personal website. But does Oostenveld write papers with it? We did not find any with this device with Oostenveld as a co-author.

But according to the little experience of EEG enthousiast Peter Gamma from www.peterfamma.org, the real thing for EEG hobbists, but eventually also for EEG professionals is this device:

It is an EEG device from which EEG device sellers cannot maky any money out of it. We suppose there will therefore not be any YouTube video demos about it. So we have to build it by ourselves. But we can save up to 49 500 USD , if we choose only the basic components compared to the g.Nautilus Multi-Purpose EEG Headset. We save a lot of money with this device, since is not a lot of the 50 000 USD for the g.Nautilus Multi-Purpose EEG Headset commissions of the EEG device sellers?

Therefore the most attractive EEG device for EEG enthousiasts like Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org, is to build an EEG device by himself for the reason mentioned on www.petergamma.org. Similarly as to build an ECG device by himself for the reason mentioned on www.petergamma.org.

And we suppose that the reasons Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org mentioned to build ECG and EEG devices by himself, are similar to the reasons why Scott Harden PhD. DMD. has built this device by himself as well:

But all the same is Scott’s device not an ECG device which will be outdated soon, and will be replaced by a device based on InfluxDB?
