The paper «A Novel OpenBCI Framework for EEG-Based Neurophysiological Experiment»:

shows us impressively what can be done with an OpenBCI setup with 16 channels and WIFI. But what is another demonstration of what can be done with a 10 year old device, of ther are not any researchers around the world who use this device on a regular basis?
Does Arnaud Delorme use it with EEGLAB, does Robert Oostenveld use it with FieldTrip? We do not know anything about this. And would we not know it if it is so, since we studied what has been done with this device intensively in recent time. Are there any researcher who do research with this device with all of their hearts? If there would be any, would the issues which are listed here not be resolved?
But unfortunately, there is no Ildar Rakhmatulin who sees the issues of OpenBCI and want to resolve those, and brings a next version of OpenBCI to us. And the only researchers which seem to use OpenBCI on a regular basis are the researchers of the OpenBCI forum. And these OpenBCI researchers in the OpenBCI forum are always changing, And is there anyone really happy with this device exept for the YouTube video makers who advertise with it?
