Is there an offordable 32 channel EEG devices which can be used for scientific studies? We have free EEG 32:

But according to the specifications is this a device which is suitable for research applications and is used in in scientific labs? We do not know of such labs. One of the best devices for 32 channels is the g.tec medical multipurpose EEG heatset. The device costs around 50 000 USD with all the features. We have introduced different other solutions for 32 channel devices in our journal but no device stroke us. We are physiolgists and not device builders. For us personally this solutions is currently the one of the which fit’s best for our needs:
But still what we miss on this setup that it does not has at least 32 EEG channels. According to our little knowledge we suppose that it is possible to build from PiEEG which offers 4 or 8 channel devices to build EEG devices with for instance 32 channels by combining sensor data from muliple devices. We could for instance use four Raspberry Pi’s with four 8 channel PiEEG hat’s for this purpose and stream the data into the same sensor data base. PiEEG 8 channels is not yet available, but only 4 channels. So if someone is interested in starting to do some experiments he can start with it right now.
We do not know if InfluxDB is required for the purpose we describe here to build a 32 channel EEG headset, but what is necessary is that all EEG channels are sampled at exactly the same time to get all the parameters such as phase and coherence.
