As Chief Commercial Officer of OpenBCI Joseph Artuso:

also Christof Koch, German-American neurophysiologist and computational neuroscientist:

wanted to find out how the brain works:

But did he not find it out, and therefore began to do research on panpsychism?

Christof Koch also met with the Dalai Lama the 14. (at 3 minutes in the video) :

But to meditate for more than 10 years in a cave as for instance Dilgo Kihenze Rinpoche did was too long for him personally as he once said in an interview if we remember correctly. So Christof Koch returned to the west.

We can learn from Sogyal Rinpoche as well how the brain works, he explains us in simple words what the true nature of mind is:

We personally learned from Sogyal Rinpoche and from Christof Koch a lot about how the brain works, but they have a completely different approach how to study the brain. Sogyal Rinpoche does it from introspection, and Christof Koch does it or did it with neurophysiological brain research and computational neuroscience.

We assume that Sogyal who was one of Dilgo Kihenze Rhinpoche’s students meditated a lot as well. But how long does Christof Koch meditate daily? We suppose that Sogyal Rinpoche meditated much longer than Christof Koch. Is this the explanation for their different approaches to do brain research?
