What could be a stragedy for open-source developers who do not want to become device developers?

We reviewed a lot of sensors and still we suffer from not really being able to to something with those. What we could with those was to review them and to find out why most scientists except for Rob ter Horst do not use those for scientific studies.

So what to do now? The latest devices on the market are built from single sensors and InfluxDB. We could do this as well and have published some examples how to do this. But if we do this really seriously this would make us to device builders.

On the other hand there are more and more sensors which can be attached or synchronized to Home Assistant, as for instance the Apple watch, and if we look at those graphs they look similar to Garmin Connect or other professional data analysis platforms on the market.

The sensors we reviewed are partly for «fun testers» but also for people who do not want to invest a lot of time and money in the development of such device, and want to find out about which of those are more suitable for medical and research applications to develop these further and which are not.
