Why does Home Assistant not integrate the sensors for Home Gyms & the sensors of the Home Lab of the Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS) into one platform?

Home Gyms

Cooper Mitchell is a graduate of Missouri State University with a degree in Finance and founder of Garage Gym Reviews. Cooper show us how to build a Home Gym for 500 USD:

Home Assistant developers can check in Cooper Mitchell Garage Gym reviews on his YouTube channel if there are sensors which can be integrated:

We suppose that at least treadmills are very well suitable to be integrated in Home Assistant. But many of the sensors reviewed by the MRIS could be integrated into a Home Gym with Home Assistant.

The Home Lab of the Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS)

offers many sensors which help you to feel well and happy at your home. You can find those at our site:

Is Home Assistant not about contolling house sensors? So why does Home Assistant not integrate the House sensors of a Home Gym and those of the Home Lab of the Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS)? We are dealing since several years with sports sensors and which software platform to choose for those. Some of these sensors already have Home Assistant integrations such as the Apple watch, several smart watches and Xiaomi treadmills, etc.

But every time we look as these projects we suffer. There are some project such as Neurokit 2 which are great. This is not necessarily for a Home Gym or a Home Lab, but it can be used for it as well:

In general we suffer if we see how advanced for instance Home Assistant is as compared to sports sensor software platforms which are mainly closed source. So we are asking the question: can Home Assistant not integrate all of these sensors into one project? We have written a lot about this topic under the category «Home Assistant» in our journal:

The Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS) is a private project of Peter Gamma on his personal website. And how our home lab looks like is described here:

But we suffer for instance about the poor software support for treadmills as described here:

Is the development of Home Assistant not much more advanced as compared to the issues we have with a simple home treadmill and to use it for walking mediation and to analyse these sensor data? We think our «home lab» is not far from a «Home Gym» and «Home Assistant». All of these are projects are for «home users» to fell well and happy at home. We therefore think that the sensors of Home Assistant, the Home Gyms and the Home lab of the Meditation Research institute Switzerland (MRIS) should be joined together into a single platform.

Should not everyone have Home Assistant, a Home Gym and a Home Lab such as the lab of the Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS) at his home to be happy and feel well?

A brotherhood of Home Assistant,
Home Gyms
and the Home Lab of the Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS)
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
