According to «fun tester» DC Rainmaker who says that «science sucks»:
No.
You can all of these information on DC Rainmakers blog. But this statement of DC Rainmaker about the Stryd needs to be verified by scientifically. There are only view scientific studies available about the Stryd:

https://www.thieme-connect.com/products/ejournals/abstract/10.1055/a-0875-4068
Which we haven t studies yet.
But we can see for instance in the reviews of fellnr about the Stryd:
https://fellrnr.com/wiki/Stryd
That the accuracy of a calibrated foot pod is near to the accuracy of a Stryd foot pod. But also this statements needs to be validated scientifically.
One argument for the Stryd is that it can be paired to the Apple watch and the Stryd distance can be found in Apple Health and eventually exported to Home Assistant.
