Gnumeric is now available in Pi apps

We would like to thank the Pi app developer Botspot:

to take our wishes into account and adding Gnumeric to Pi apps.

  • Pi apps is a fast, reliable spreadsheet program
  • the spreadsheet programs specifically written for Linux
  • Gnumeric is lightweight, fast, and very responsive
  • It can save as .gnumeric files, .ods files, or even the familiar Microsoft Office .xls filetype
  • On the Linux Pinephone Gnumeric is recommened instead of LibreOffice Calc because Gnumeric menus work better on the Pinephone than Libreoffice menus.
  • On the Pi zero 2 w Libreoffice takes 45 seconds to start up. Take Abiword and Gnumeric instead, it start up faster and works better on smaller screens.

To run Gnumeric: Menu -> Office -> Gnumeric

To run in a terminal: gnumeric
