Where are the Raspberry Pi 4 & zero 2 w alternatives for our application?

The Raspberry Pi 5 will probably only be launched in the second half of 2024 which is a pity. Unfortunately we did still not find an alternative for waiting for a contemporary Raspberry Pi 5.

Many options are ready to go for a Raspberry Pi 5 which would be very insteresting for us personally, such as Ubuntu desktop with good touch control, which we currently do not use since it is too slow for our needs. Or Fedora which does not run well on the Pi 4.

We have read that the launch of the Raspberry Pi 5 wouldn’t be until at least the first half of 2024 – probably the second half o 2024:

Unfortunately, we still did not find an alternative to the Raspberry Pi 4 and the zero w 2 which fits for our application. Software as for instance leepspvidoes 64bit KDE Plasma part 4 are great for Linux beginners, so that they can do without Ubuntu desktop or Fedora on the Pi 4. But it does not run well on the zero w 2. We tested it and it does not work.

Leepspvidoes KDE plasma part 4 runs well on the Pi 4 and we wouldn’t miss it. But the zero w2 uses little power, and is the most suitable SBC we found for our mobile application. A zero 2 w with more RAM would be highly desirable to run leepspvidoes 64bit KDE Plasma part 4 on it.
