Not all pathways are implemented, as we can see in this table:
Connection option | description | Cyton cable version | Cyton with proprietary Cyton Bluetooth Donge | Cyton with WIFI Shield |
OpenBCI graphical user interface | The OpenBCI GUI is OpenBCI’s software tool for visualizing, recording, and streaming data from the OpenBCI Boards | unknown | yes | yes |
BrainFlow | BrainFlow is a library intended to obtain, parse and analyze EEG, EMG, ECG and other kinds of data from biosensors and offers for instance Python examples | unknown | yes | yes |
- There is an example which shows a 3 lead ECG signal in OpenBCI GUI:
https://docs.openbci.com/GettingStarted/Biosensing-Setups/ECGSetup/
- If we want to see the 3 channel ECG signal in real-time in an easy way, the ECG visulation in OpenBCI GUI might be helpful.
- Cyton with WIFI Shield is not available from www.OpenBCI.com anymore, but it can be found here on Ebay and the description says it is issue-free:

- If we are interested in fast brain waves, we suggest to use a Cyton with WIFI Shield.
