Texas Instruments ADS1299 24 bit ADC 8 channel chip or ADS1115 16-Bit ADC 4 channel chip for ECG, EEG & MEG?

The price for the ADS1299 8 channel EEG chip has dropped in recent years from about 200 USD to about 70 USD which we found it now:

For the PyEEG with the Texas Instruments ADS1299 24 bit ADC 8 channel chip we have to wait until end of April 2024. Is PyEEG dead until then, since there are more affordable products on the market? Is this the plan of Texas Instruments? For research applications, 16 ADC is enough, as the ADS1115 16-Bit ADC 4 channel chip has it:

We found in Switzerland at Digitec the Adafruit ADS1115 16-Bit ADC 4 Ch. w/Gain Amplifier for about 25 USD:

But on Aliexpress we can find the same chip for 3 dollars:

As we sah where, if we choose the most affordable pathway, we will have the largest community:

Four 16 channel analog to digital converter channels for 3 dollars is currently the most affordable chip we can find to do the job on our developement chain. Eventually the price will increase, but it is still affordable. And we think low-cost high-quality physiological sensor devices which uses this chip and InfluxDB will win. Here we made a calculation that building physiolgical sensor devices from single components is the most affordable pathway:

It needs a bit soldering and copy and paste some code together. But if we have a community of developers from Florida to Indonesia who works on it’s developement with YouTube videos and printed circuit boards, it will become easier and faster.

But we are physiologists and not soft- and hardware developers. We do not know if the ADS1115 16-Bit ADC is suitable for ECG, EEG & MEG signals. Ask an expert about this topic.
