We are interested in LattePanda computers, but we discovered issues after issues with these SBCs, about which we reported in our journal.
- Another issue with these SBC can be summarized like this, the procedure of this manufacturer:
- Attract a new client.
- Let him intensely review the product.
- As soon as he is interested in it, increase the price for the product.
- Pull the product from the market in the clients favorite store.
- Offer the product in other stores which are not interesting for the costumer for a higher price.
- If the costumer complains, offer an alternative prototype which nowhere can be found in a shop. (we do not know if LattePanda is entangeled with this prototype developer, but it is our hypothesis).
- Continue at point 2 until you get rid of the client.
This is basically our experience with the LattePanda SBC. If you don’t want to go through what we went trough with LattePanda SBCs, choose an Orange Pi 5 for instance with Armbian. The Orange Pi 5 has a community which is a bit bigger than just you and the developer, who wants to find out how much money he can make out of you:
