- Why does Fedora not support a single board computer of their choice which is more powerful than the Raspberry Pi 4? Fedora supports the Raspberry Pi 4 as whe have discussed it here:
- But was Fedora able to proof that the Raspberry Pi 4 running Fedora is a device which we can work with as a daily driver? All of the demos we looked at reported issues, and none of them could convince us, although we are interested in using Fedora as an OS which is used on single board computers.
- But are there next to the Raspberry Pi no other single board computers, on which Fedora easily runs without major issues? We presented here a list of single board computers which are candidates for this:
- But single board computers come and go, every year new devices appear on the market, and every year, devices disappear again. We where not able to find a SBC as a candidate to run Fedora without issues which could convince us after a first look at these devices.
- Are physiologists like us the right persons to find a suitable single board computer on which Fedora and can be recommended to run on? Aren’t there people out there which are familiar with Fedora which could do this easily, and offer as a solution which is better than Fedora on the Raspberry Pi 4, with a single board computer which is more powerful than the Raspberry Pi 4?
- We think it would be worth to spend the extra costs to buy a device which is more powerful than the Raspberry Pi 4 to run Fedora on it, also for developers who spend a lot of time to implement Fedora on a single board computer.
Is there is a single board computer which is supported by Fedora on which Fedora runs better than on the Raspberry Pi 4, please let us know and post it in the comments below.
