To buy an Mango Pi MQ quatt?

  • We reviewed several small form factor single board computers in our journal.
  • An interesting device is the Mango Pi MQ quatt
  • The Debian image of this device is in a state so that a user called it a working machine.

bracka wrote in the Mango Pi forum about it:

  • It doesn’t make much sense to upgrade from a Pi with 512MB and then suck up half a gig with X Windows and stuff I don’t need.
  • Nice little machine otherwise. Enjoy!

And poddingue wrote:

  • I just received my adapter, used the console trick, and I am now a happy camper
  • I also tried another USB-C hub without much luck
  • Anyhow, I now have a working machine connected to my WiFi network.

Unfortunately, we do not know of anybody whe got armbian to work on the device yet.

  • gounthar installed two armbian images on the device, but could not boot those:

It would be highly desirable to have armbian installed on it which is optimized for arm based single board computers.
