Ubuntu mate touch screen works with Raspberry 3 & 4

issues:

  • We did not test it and cannot confirm it yet.
  • a Rpi4 with 7 inch HDMI paired over HDMI and usb3 did not work for us personally, eventually only SPI displays work in Ubuntu Mate. Ubuntu mate works faster than for instance Ubuntu Gnome on a Rpi4, this is what we can confirm, also Fedora uses Gnome, therefore we prefer Ubuntu Mate if touch works.
  • Raspberri Pi OS touch is easer than Ubuntu Mate touch, eventually all touch connections work, also the one over usb which seem not to work in Ubuntu Mate.
