On the contras, the user experience of Peter Gamma with LibreOffice:
It took me almost a month to install LibreOffice on the PinePhone, working everyday a little bit on it. Here is my user report:
https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=16614
It where 36 posts in the Pine64 forum together with posts of other users and supporters. I reached 8,756 views in the Pine64 forum. This is more views than the most popular YouTube video of Laghsam Meditation in Zurich who flies meditation teachers from around the world to Zurich and back to record YouTube videos (what is wrong with Lhagsam?).
After I managed to install LibreOffice, I found that the menus are buggy. Pine64 user alaraajavamma wrote that the Flatpak version of LibreOffice works better on the PinePhone. I gave up at that point.
Then, I followed alaraajavamma who shared that she uses Abiword and Gnumeric instead of LibreOffice on the PinePhone. She writes that the PinePhone screen is to small for LibreOffice and she uses Abiword and Gnumeric instead.
Some of my post titles where reedited in the Pine64 forum. One was entiteled “Nightmare PinePhone shipping”. Now the title is reedited as “high shipping costs” and you can find it here:
https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=12925&highlight=shipping
The title is not chosen by me, but by Pine64.
Is it if something lowers that sales rates of the PinePhone that posts will be reedited in the Pine64 forum by moderators? If so, we can help you. If you want to comment something about a topic which lowers the sales rates of the PinePhone, you can write it in the comments below in our journal:
