The WIFI shield is not available from www.OpenBCI.com , and we do not know when it will come back. He have discussed in this journal, that the WFI shield is one of the most interesting components of OpenBCI for us personally. We suggested to use a combination of Cyton with WIFI and InfluxDB. We can with 8 channels and OpenBCI GUI. But what should we do if we want to proceed to 16 channels? We found here a OpenBCI WiFi+Daisy Combo, which can be used for 16 channels. It comes from Helloes Store with 93.0% Positive Feedback and 785 Followers:
It is an OpenBCI, WiFi+Daisy two-in-one version, one board integrates the functions of the original WiFi board and Daisy board, the system integration is higher, and the power system has been improved, and the stability.
Is this a issue-free WIFI shield version? We do not know. But if someone investigates time in building new OpenBCI components, did he not also test if the OpenBCI WIFI shield is issue-free, and add the missing components, to make it issue-free?
What is a pitty, that the Aliexpress Helloes Store does not stick to the unspoken rules of open source hardware:
But if these rules are unspoken, does someone have to stick to this rules? Do not other people, for instance from www.OpenBCI.com also violiate unspoken rules, human values, which are unspoken and accepted rules by a majority of the society, as for instance the rules of Nicholas of Flüe from Switzerland. A mystic, who was respected as a man of complete moral integrity. A holy man who sticked to the rules of the Catholic Church, and was canonized 500 years after his death for his complete moral integrity?
We suppose that this OpenBCI Daisy WIFI shield combo is issue-free. It is labeled as power improved. To make the WIFI shield issue-free requires soldering of additional components. But if it is issue-free or not, needs to be tested.
