Richard Davidson mentioned one scientific study which confirmed the findings of the PNAS paper from 2004, but Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org does not know which scientific study this was. A second paper about meditation which uses a different protocol:
Found gamma wave activity during mental practice at a different location in the brain.
In this PLOS ONE paper from 2017, gamma wave activity was found in the parieto-occipital area during mental practice. But in the PNAS paper from 2004, an increase in gamma wave acivity during mental practice was found in the left prefrontal cortex.
Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has to admit, that he has not yet read Richard Davidson’s book «Altered Traits».
And you eventually find more information about this topic in this book.
